MagSafe Explained: Which Cases and Chargers Work With Your iPhone
MagSafe — the ring of magnets in every iPhone from the 12 onward — enables snap-on chargers, wallets, mounts and stands. But a wrong case choice silently disables all of it.
What MagSafe gives you
- Faster wireless charging (15W vs 7.5W on plain Qi) with perfect alignment every time
- Snap-on accessories: wallets, car mounts, battery packs, tripods
- No fumbling: the magnets align the charger for you — great as a bedside setup
The case question
A regular case blocks or weakens the magnets. A MagSafe-compatible case has its own magnet ring built in, passing the connection through at full strength. If you use — or plan to use — any magnetic accessory, this is the single most important thing to check when buying a case.
Which iPhones have MagSafe
iPhone 12, 13, 14 and 15 series all include it (the SE does not). Older iPhones can still wireless-charge on a MagSafe puck, just slower and without the magnetic grip.
Our case range includes MagSafe-compatible options for iPhone 12 through 15 — each listing says so explicitly. Pair one with a tempered glass screen protector and your refurbished phone stays flawless.
