Why buy a refurbished iPhone?
iPhones are built to last far longer than the upgrade cycle most people follow. A phone traded in after two years typically has years of updates and performance left in it — the main thing it loses is its "new" price tag. Buying refurbished means you get the same hardware, the same iOS experience and the same App Store, usually for a fraction of the price of new.
Which iPhone should you buy?
A simple rule: buy the newest model that fits your budget, and spend on storage before spending on the Pro tier unless you specifically want the Pro cameras. 128GB is a comfortable minimum for most people; photographers and heavy video users should look at 256GB and up. Every model page lets you choose storage, colour, condition grade and battery health, and shows exactly how each choice changes the price.
Shopping by generation
Prefer to shop within a single generation? See our dedicated iPhone 12 series and iPhone 14 series pages, each covering every size and tier released that year. As a rule, an older generation costs less for very similar day-to-day performance, while a newer generation buys a longer runway of iOS updates and more recent camera hardware — the storage, colour, condition and battery health picker works the same way on every model page either way.
Frequently asked questions about refurbished iPhones
Are your refurbished iPhones unlocked?
Yes. Every iPhone we sell is fully unlocked and works with all New Zealand carriers, including Spark, One NZ and 2degrees — just insert your SIM and go.
Should I buy an older or newer iPhone generation?
What does the battery health percentage mean?
Every phone comes with a battery holding at least 80% of its original capacity — Apple’s own threshold for a healthy battery. Want more? Tick Battery upgrade on the model page and you get a brand-new battery (100% health) — either a unit from stock that already has one, or we fit a new battery before dispatch. If a battery drops below its stated spec during the warranty period due to a fault, it is covered.
Is a refurbished iPhone the same as a used iPhone?
No. A used phone is sold as-is by its previous owner. Our refurbished iPhones are professionally tested, restored where needed, graded honestly, wiped and warranted for 12 months.
What comes in the box?
The iPhone and a compatible charging cable. Original boxes and accessories are generally not included unless stated — part of how refurbished stays so much cheaper than new.
What do the condition grades mean?
Grades describe cosmetic appearance only — every device is fully tested and 100% functional. Like New looks pristine, Very Good has barely visible micro scratches, Good shows honest signs of use. Full definitions in our Condition Guide.
What warranty do I get?
Every device comes with a 12-month return-to-base warranty covering functional faults. If anything goes wrong, we repair or replace it — see our Returns & Warranty Policy.
How fast is delivery in New Zealand?
Orders are dispatched from our Auckland workshop within 1–3 business days, with free NZ-wide delivery. Most parcels arrive within 1–4 business days of dispatch.
Can I return it if I change my mind?
Yes — you have 15 days from delivery for change-of-mind returns, as long as the device comes back in the condition it was sent with all included accessories.
