Under $600 for a refurbished laptop typically means an older-generation machine — think an ex-lease Dell Latitude with an Intel Core i5, or an older Intel-chip MacBook Air. These aren't top-of-the-range machines, but they comfortably cover the jobs most people actually need a laptop for: browsing, email, documents, video calls and study.
Every machine at any price is tested and graded by our own Auckland technicians before it's listed — a lower price reflects the age of the hardware and its cosmetic condition, not a shortcut on testing. Keyboard, trackpad, display, ports, Wi-Fi and battery are all checked the same way regardless of price.

- SSD, not HDD — every laptop we sell is SSD-based, which matters more for everyday responsiveness than raw CPU speed.
- 8GB RAM is a sensible working minimum for browsing and office work with several tabs open, and the most common configuration in this price range.
- Cosmetic grade — check the condition grade on each listing; a Good-grade machine works identically to a Like New one, the difference is purely cosmetic.
