Which MacBook Air generation?
MacBook Air was updated in 2018, 2019 and twice in 2020 — Apple's last Intel refresh landed in early 2020, then the first Apple Silicon (M1) Air replaced it later the same year. Since then, Air has continued as Apple Silicon models (M1, M2, M3 and later). If a listing's title includes a chip name like "(M1)", that's the giveaway it's the Apple Silicon version rather than the Intel one from the same year — check the exact chip on the model page before you buy.
An Air is a laptop bought for portability first: it's the lightest machine in the MacBook range, has no fan noise to speak of on Apple Silicon models, and comfortably runs a full day of study, browsing, documents and streaming on a single charge. If your work is mostly in a browser and office apps rather than heavy creative software, an Air will feel every bit as capable as a Pro, day to day.
Apple Silicon vs Intel
Every Apple Silicon Air (M1 onwards) is completely fanless and silent, with a major jump in speed and battery life over the Intel models. macOS support for Intel Macs is winding down, so an Intel Air suits lighter, budget-conscious use, while an Apple Silicon Air is the safer long-term buy if your budget allows. How much RAM and storage?
8GB RAM / 256GB storage is comfortable for study, browsing and everyday office work. Choose 16GB if you multitask heavily or run creative apps, and 512GB+ if you keep large photo or video libraries on the machine rather than in the cloud.

Is a MacBook Air powerful enough for everyday use?
Yes — for browsing, documents, study, streaming and everyday office work, a MacBook Air (Intel or Apple Silicon) is more than capable. For sustained heavier workloads like video editing or large compiles, look at our MacBook Pro range instead.
Does the MacBook Air have a fan?
Apple Silicon (M1 onwards) MacBook Air models are completely fanless and silent. Earlier Intel MacBook Air models do have a small fan, though it rarely spins up during light use.
Does a refurbished MacBook Air come with the original charger?
A compatible charger is included. Original Apple boxes and accessories are generally not included unless stated in the listing.
What do the condition grades mean?

Orders are dispatched from our Auckland workshop within 1–3 business days, with free NZ-wide delivery. Most parcels arrive within 1–4 business days of dispatch.
