What Do "Good", "Very Good" and "Like New" Actually Mean?
Share
Every refurbished device we sell carries a condition grade. The key thing to understand: grades describe cosmetics only. Every device, whatever the grade, is fully tested, 100% functional and covered by the same 12-month warranty.
The grades at a glance
- Like New: pristine screen, minimal to no signs of wear. Looks and feels new.
- Excellent: minor scratches you'd only notice with the screen off, invisible at arm's length.
- Very Good: light scratches visible when the screen is off; body shows signs of regular use only up close.
- Good: micro scratches on the screen that don't affect visibility when it's on; body scratches visible on close inspection.

Which grade should you buy?
If the phone lives in a case with a screen protector — as most do — a Good or Very Good unit is the smart buy: the cosmetic marks disappear the moment the case goes on, and you pocket the savings. Choose Like New if you use your phone caseless or you're buying it as a gift.
Battery health is separate
Alongside the grade, every phone shows battery health — 80% or 100%. Both are healthy by Apple's standard; 100% means a new or nearly-new battery. Compare grades and prices side by side.
